A specific date of release for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on DVD has yet to be set (and this is not surprising considering the film is still in theaters in a lot of areas of the U.S.), but chances are, the film will hit DVD and Blu-Ray sometime this fall/winter, and there is a lot to look forward to from that occasion!

1. DVD release parties: When Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon were released to DVD/Blu-Ray, Borders, Blockbuster, Walmart, and others threw midnight DVD release parties across the country, and several of the parties included guest appearances by the cast and filmmakers. With The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, no doubt, there’ll be similar festivities to arranged ring in the occasion! It should be interesting to see who makes a stop where this time around.

2. Unlimited viewing: Almost every Twilight fan I know has seen each of the Twilight series films more than once, and sometimes, the viewing numbers can be upwards of dozens of times per person – whether to revisit the smaller details of the film or the goofs. Going to the theater to see it as often as one would like, though, can tend to be inconvenient or costly, so having the DVD at home makes the process a little more efficient – especially since it means fans can have a viewing party of their own or even an at-home marathon of the three! Getting the DVD in hand means unlimited, convenient viewing potential, and this is a good thing for those of us who like the see the film often and on our time!

Sara Gruen, author of adapted for movie  book Water for Elephants, had a chance to try on her acting skills. Her and he r husband were cast as extras in a scene ehwre the circus parades down Weehawken, N.J. for the film due out April 15, 2011

“We retook that scene I think 18 times,” Gruen recalls. “I’m the one Rob Pattinson (who plays veterinarian Jacob Jankowski) elbows past and says, ‘Excuse me, ma’am’ to.”

She also talks about what it was like working with Tai the elephant:

“Her trainer told me to hug her trunk,” says Gruen, “so I did, and suddenly I was 7 feet in the air. She gave me many kisses, probably because I always carry mints for my horses, so I was slipping her candy every time I got a chance.”

Little Ashes

Robert Pattinson stars in this Spanish-British drama chronicling Salvador Dalí’s early days at university in Madrid.

In the film, Pattinson’s Dalí and Federico García Lorca (Javier Beltran) become closer as the two spend more and more time together, forming the epicentre of bohemian Madrid culture.  The scene pictured above marks the culmination of their intense friendship and the beginning of a new, doomed era in their relationship in a suitably impassioned fashion.

E! caught up with Melissa Rosenberg after her return from Baton Rouge where she’s been doing rewrites for the Breaking Dawn films along with director Bill Condon.

“We’re working on it,” Rosenberg says of baby Renesmee’s less-than-pretty arrival. “And we’re working on it to be as intense as it is in the book.”

“I don’t think it’s about the amount of blood you show,” Rosenberg says. “It’s about the intensity of it. It’s on their faces. It’s all from Bella’s point of view when you’re seeing what’s going. It should feel visceral. I think it’s going to be pretty intense.”
