Recently MTV published the news of various Bluewater comic books getting Cease and Desist orders from the actors camps (Lady GaGa and Justin Beiber). Bluewater publisher Darren G. Davis, confirmed receipt of the cease-and-desist orders and offered his official response to the report and paperwork.

“We are 100% within our First Amendment rights,” Davis told MTV News. “We knew our rights on this before we jumped into the biography world. These are 100% biographies on their lives.”

“We reach out to all the celebrities and some choose to work with us and some do not,” he told MTV News. Davis went on to name off a long list of other unauthorized biographies of the pop star already or soon-to-be published, claiming the Bluewater comic “is no different from these books.”

What does this mean for FAME: Robert Pattinson? LetMeSign reached out to Bluewater’s Marketing Director/Author of the comic, Kimberly Sherman and she told us the following:

“I reached out to Rob’s agent when I was writing it, so he and Rob were made aware of his bio months ago, but they didn’t have any involvement in it and didn’t request proceeds to go to any organization, though The Humane Society was featured in his book. But Ellen Degeneres requested copies of Rob’s bio from us to present to Rob when he was on her show promoting Eclipse. Unfortunately, they ran out of time on air, but I’m sure she ended up giving him copies after the show was over. Bittersweet; I would’ve loved to have seen that on-air, but at least I know they got to him, and all in good fun, I’m sure.”

So, there is no worry of this comic getting a Cease and Desist order any time soon. Especially now that it’s on it’s second printing. If you haven’t had a chance to get your copies head over to Amazon or TFAW and snatch one up!

Nikki (RPExaminer) has written an article about our newly launched Respect Me Campaign Store.

Robert Pattinson fans that read this column regularly have seen LetMeSign.com’s Respect Me campaign mentioned on more than one occasion. Tonight I’m pleased to announce that the site has officially launched their new www.cafepress.com/RespectMeCampaignShop.

As many of you know, the idea behind the Respect Me campaign is to unite fans against invasive paparazzi and other media outlets that blatantly exploit and capitalize on Rob’s private life. The goal of the campaign is to encourage fans to respect Rob’s (and other actors/actresses) right to privacy and allow him to live a somewhat human life. Perhaps Karen at LetMeSign.com put it best: “As site owners it’s our responsibility to encourage our readers to do good. It’s not about getting hits and being popular. It’s about doing the right thing and right now the right thing is promoting awareness to the invasive lengths paparazzi have gone to snap a photo.”

Every design in the Respect Me Campaign Shop can be put on women’s or men’s clothing, as well as gifts and accessories. The best part is, all proceeds from the shop’s sales will be donated to Livestrong. By purchasing items from the shop, fans will not only be showing love and appreciation for Rob, but also supporting the never-ending fight against cancer.

Thank You Nikki :)

Below is the official press release from SND via Twilight France:

Dear fans of Twilight,

We are pleased to announce the release dates of the next two chapters of the Twilight series, produced by Summit Entertainment, co-financed and distributed in France by SND.

You will find Bella, Edward and Jacob in the cinemas of France from November 16, 2011 with the release of Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and November 14, 2012 with the release of Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Note that France will receive twice the special treatment, since both films will be released in France as world premieres, two days before the U.S. release!

Its time to choose a French adaptation for the titles of two items of the saga. Many fans have drawn our attention to the length and strangeness of the titles which involve both chapters, parts, and several numbers (i.e. Twilight Chapter 4: Revelation, Part 1).

A classic is always a classic, Brad Pitt, George Clooney or Johnny Depp, occupy a privileged place in women’s sighs, but gradually new names are added to the list of most attractive and talented men in Hollywood. Come on girls, the more the better!

Pattinson is the undisputed favorite of the new leading men of Hollywood. His success has been overwhelming, so much that even George Clooney is jealous of this young vampire, star of the Twilight saga, and is sure to give us plenty to talk about in the future.

UPDATE FRIDAY, AUGUST 20:

Box office numbers are in for Thursday, August 19 and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has now officially surpassed the domestic total of New Moon. The film took in another $190,143 from 1,212 locations for a per theater average of $157 representing a decrease of 0.7% from Wednesday. This adds up to a cumulative domestic total of $296,649,934 after 51 days in release. Adding in overseas returns of $380.6M gives Eclipse a current worldwide total of $677,249,934.

For those comparing the films in The Twilight Saga, at this point in its release history (after 51 days) New Moon had taken in $290,277,863. Eclipse is now at $296,649,934. Both films hit the $250M mark on the 16th day. The total domestic gross for New Moon was $296,623,634 (after 132 days). Eclipse has now broken that total by $26,600 (after 51 days). The film is now within striking distance of the elusive $300M mark. It needs about $3.35M to get to that number. It took New Moon 21 more days to earn an additional $3.35M after its 51st day, and Eclipse is clearly doing better. On the other hand, New Moon was still in 1,167 theaters after 51 days while Eclipse drops to 557 tomorrow. Still, even after New Moon’s theater count had dropped to 444 (after 63 days) it still went on to take in another $3.8M. Therefore, it should take no more than one more month for Eclipse to earn another $3.35M and pass $300M.
